Create Event

  1. Connect Your Wallet

    • Click the Connect Wallet button in the top-right corner of Donty.

    • Approve the connection request in your wallet (e.g., MetaMask).

    • Make sure you have enough Base Sepolia ETH for gas fees.

  2. Open Your Dashboard

    • Click on Dashboard in the navigation bar.

    • This is where you can manage existing events and create new ones.

  3. Initiate a New Event

    • Look for a Create Event or New Event button within the dashboard.

    • Click it to start filling in your event details.

  4. Fill In Event Details

    • Title: The name of your fundraising campaign.

    • Category: For example, “Nonprofit,” “Community,” or “Health.”

    • Target: The fundraising goal (in ETH).

    • Deadline: The date or block number when the campaign ends.

    • Image URL (Optional): An image or logo to represent your cause.

    • Narratives: A brief description or story explaining your cause and why people should donate.

  5. Set Up Donation Tiers (Optional)

    • clicked the edit button

    • If desired, specify multiple tiers to let donors choose how much they want to give.

    • Each tier can have its own label or name.

  6. Confirm Creation

    • Click Create or Confirm to finalize the event details.

    • A pop-up from your wallet will appear, asking you to confirm the transaction and pay any necessary gas fees.

    • Review the details, then click Confirm in your wallet.

  7. Wait for Transaction Confirmation

    • The new event is being deployed on the Base Sepolia network.

    • Once confirmed, you’ll see a success notification on Donty.

    • The dashboard will update to show your newly created event.

  8. Share Your Event

    • Each event has its own unique address on the blockchain.

    • Copy the event link and share it with your community so they can visit the page and donate.


Tips & Reminders

  • Gas Fees: Ensure you have enough Base Sepolia ETH to cover the contract deployment cost.

  • Edit or Manage: After creating an event, you can manage it from your dashboard, view donations, and track progress.

  • Security Tools: If you ever need to revoke permissions or approvals, consider using Revoke.cash.

  • Transparency: Users can verify your event details on-chain using Blockscout or the Donty Transactions page.

By following these steps, you can create a transparent, blockchain-backed event on Donty, enabling anyone with a connected wallet to donate securely and view your fundraising progress in real time.
